The CMCE team is excited to welcome Matias as our newest Project Engineer!
Matias Alarcon is a graduate of the well-known Universidad de Chile. His educational credentials include a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering and a Master of Science’s degree with a major in Structural, Seismic and geotechnical engineering. Additionally, Matias has a published research journal article in Engineering Structures that included monitoring the dynamic structural behavior of a six-story light frame timber-building by using seismic instrumentation.
In his latest professional occupation, Matias worked as a Project Manager at CENAMAD (Centro Nacional de Excelencia para la Industria de la Madera), translated to the National Center of Excellence for Wood Industry; similar to the American Wood Council (AWC).
As the project manager for the research area of structures and construction, Matias’ primary responsibilities included directing, planning, and administering research projects. He led several teams of researchers in developing technological solutions for the wood construction industry.
We look forward to Matias’ unique contributions to CMCE’s structural engineering team.

Celin H. Munoz
Principal Engineer.
Celin founded CMCE firm in 2011. Celin is a licensed and registered Professional Engineer in the states of New York and New Jersey. He received his Bachelor of Civil Engineering from Hofstra University and his Master degree in Civil and Structural Engineering from Polytechnic Institute of New York University. Well-known for his solutions to special structural problems and with over 20 years of experience in the field, Celin has developed a broad and profound expertise in the area of structural engineering which has given him a solid foundation for different types of projects. Mr. Munoz takes great pride in his career and this led to him founding CMCE. Celin takes lead in his firm’s projects assuring that CMCE`s projects demonstrate his dedication and exceptional service.
Nicholas Bradica
Project Engineer.
Nicholas joined CMCE in January 2021. He graduated from Stony Brook University in 2019 with a B.E. in Engineering Science and a specialization in Engineering Management. He continued his education at Stony Brook University to obtain his master’s degree in Materials Science in 2020. Nicholas works alongside CMCE’s other project engineers and is involved in the structural design and analysis of CMCE’s projects, ranging from commercial to residential structures throughout the New York City area. Nicholas’ position as a project engineer allows him to take prominent involvement in many of CMCE’s projects, such as special field inspections and structural design involving masonry, steel, wood, and concrete.
David Morales
Project Engineer.
David joined CMCE in November 2021. He graduated from New York University, Tandon School of Engineering in 2021 with a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering and a Minor in Construction Management. David works alongside CMCE’s other project engineers and is involved in the structural design and analysis of CMCE’s projects, ranging from commercial to residential structures throughout the New York City area. David’s position as a project engineer allows him to take prominent involvement in many of CMCE’s projects, such as special field inspections and structural design involving masonry, steel, wood, and concrete.
Matias Romero
Project Engineer.
Matias joined CMCE in June 2022 from Chile. He graduated with a bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from the University of Valparaiso, Chile in 2020. Due to his qualifications, he got the opportunity to work alongside CMCE’s other project engineers in preparing and analyzing the structural design of CMCE’s projects, ranging from commercial to residential structures in the New York City and Long Island areas. Matias’ position as a project engineer allows him to take prominent involvement in many of CMCE’s projects, such as special field inspections and structural design involving masonry, steel, wood, and concrete.
Katherine Pardo
Project Engineer.
Katherine joined CMCE in February of 2023 from Chile. Katherine is a 2020 graduate of the prestigious University of Chile’s Civil Engineering program, her degree major is in Civil Engineering with a concentration in Structural, Construction, and Geotechnical studies. In her professional experience, as a Geotechnical Engineer at Golder Associate-WSP, Katherine provided engineering support for geotechnical monitoring and slope stability analysis at the Sierra Gorda’s Spence mine in Chile’s Northern region. During her college career, she contributed to seismic analysis projects at the picturesque Aromos Reservoir, in Valparaiso, Chile; an awe-inspiring natural landmark that stands as a testament to the power of engineering research.

CMCE’s administrative team functions as the primary point of contact with our clients by handling incoming calls, e-mail requests, and billing services. The administrative team provides support to the project engineers by coordinating proposal developments, project status updates, as well as scheduling project meetings and site visits. Additionally, the administrative team maintains communication with clients, architects, and expediters, as it relates to Department of Buildings’ filing procedures and guidelines. CMCE’s administrative team`s involvement in each of CMCE’s projects is essential from beginning to end as they preserve the communication between all parties.
